Building Amazing Interfaces with Drupal and jQuery UI

Drupal 7 will be shipping with jQuery UI. In this session, we will build a simple module that uses jQuery UI.

You’ll learn how to work with the following UI components:

  • dialogs
  • sortable lists
  • custom effects

We will also cover some prerequisite development topics:

For Drupal:

  • module building basics
  • Drupal.behaviors
  • Writing menu callbacks (hook_menu())
  • Creating theme functions (hook_theme())
  • Using hook_schema()

For jQuery:

  • Writing new jquery methods
